The 12 Days of Christmas | December 2017 at CKC

Welcome to December at Counterfeit Kit Challenge! As usual, this month the Master Forgers are taking a month off from our kit duties and bringing you a special holiday edition. This December we will be sharing our tips, tricks, kits, and projects all relating to the classic Christmas carol, The 12 Days of Christmas.

If you have never heard this carol, the song is all about gifts sent to someone during the 12 days of Christmas. Each verse adds a new gift, counting up to 12 gifts on the 12th day:

On the twelfth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me--
Twelve drummers drumming,
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
and a partridge in a pear tree.

Every year, it seems that Christmas comes earlier and earlier to stores, TV ads, and radio. I heard the first carol of this season on November 9! Since Christmas songs have become so prevalent during this time of year, I thought it would be fun to use a traditional carol to inspire our current holiday projects.

So every few days, we will post a project based on a verse of the song, The 12 Days of Christmas. We hope that you will be inspired to scrap your own holidays and use up your stash as well!
